ŷڱƵ’s anti-violence production of ‘The Tempest’ to tour ŷڱƵ schools

The ŷڱƵ Shakespeare Festival’s highly praised school anti-violence tour continues in spring 2013 with a new program based on “The Tempest” that focuses on themes of vengeance and forgiveness. Created in conjunction with the Center for the Study and Prevention of Violence at the University of ŷڱƵ Boulder, CSF’s “Twelfth Night” anti-bullying tour has now been seen by more than 22,000 ŷڱƵ schoolchildren. That inaugural program examined the problem of bullying through the character Malvolio.

ŷڱƵ-Boulder ranked No. 4 nationally for Peace Corps volunteers

The University of ŷڱƵ Boulder is ranked No. 4 in the nation for graduates serving as Peace Corps volunteers with 93 alumni currently serving around the world, the Peace Corps announced today. Since 2004, ŷڱƵ-Boulder has held a position in the top four among institutions of similar size. ŷڱƵ-Boulder is the fifth highest volunteer-producing university of all time with 2,353 undergraduate alumni having served in the program since it was established in 1961.

ŷڱƵ-Boulder to issue new request for proposals to relocate Grandview Terrace bungalows

The University of ŷڱƵ Boulder is issuing a new request for proposals to relocate three bungalows from the Grandview Terrace area. “During the earlier request for proposal process conducted over the past summer and fall we did not receive any proposals that met the qualifications, however, if it’s feasible we would like to see the houses relocated and preserved,” said ŷڱƵ-Boulder Director of Real Estate Jeff Lipton. “In talking with the city staff we thought it would be worth issuing the request for proposals one more time.”

ŷڱƵ-Boulder ranks No. 1 in state for sending, receiving students internationally, says new report

The University of ŷڱƵ Boulder enrolled more international students during the 2011-12 academic year and sent more students abroad during the 2010-11 academic year than any other higher education institution in ŷڱƵ. The data, released today by the Institute of International Education in its annual Open Doors Report, shows that ŷڱƵ-Boulder was home to 1,681 international students during the 2011-12 school year. ŷڱƵ-Boulder sent 1,316 students overseas during the 2010-11 school year.
