On behalf of all of the members of the Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Police Department, I want to welcome you to the 2016-17 school year. You are on one of the most beautiful college campuses in the U.S. As the chief of the police department, I will assure you that the top priority for every member of our department is to make sure that you have a safe environment to pursue your academic goals.

There has been a change in the way office supplies are delivered across campus. Starting on Aug. 1, Staples began delivering all orders to the Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Distribution Center as a bulk delivery. Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Distribution then delivers the orders on their daily mail, package and freight runs to departments and units across campus.

The New Employee Welcome Experience is the first event in a comprehensive, year-long onboarding experience designed to increase the understanding of Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Boulder’s culture, organizational structure and governance, operations, learning mission, values and campus initiatives. The program is offered to new, permanent employees. This program is recommended for employees in their first 30-45 days of employment.

Arriving on campus and adjusting to a new social environment is an exciting time for undergraduate and graduate students, but it’s also when students are most likely to run into trouble. The fall semester is when incoming students experience the most thefts, stitches, tickets and sexual assaults—which is why people need skills to interrupt these situations before they become a problem.

Since the Hill Reinvestment Strategy began in 2014, each year the city has issued a survey to measure public perception of the Hill. The goal is to see if this collaborative effort is succeeding at moving the needle on improving quality of life on the Hill for its residents, businesses...
