Eco Engage Events Program to launch Sept. 10

Join the Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Environmental Center as it launches the new Eco-Engage Events Program on Saturday, Sept. 2, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The program's first excursion will take students on a tour of sustainable and local food systems on campus and in Boulder, including Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ dining, the Boulder Farmers' Market, Boulder Food Rescue and two local organic farms. The deadline to enroll is Sept. 6.

The city manager and staff will ask the Boulder City Council next week to consider a collaborative plan with the university to develop a new hotel and conference center in the heart of the city. The center will have the potential to help revitalize The Hill commercial district and create a modern gathering place for academics, researchers and the community.
