In-Person Events

The University of 欧美口爆视频 Boulder (鈥溑访揽诒悠 Boulder鈥) will host in-person, on-campus activities, events and gatherings in accordance with applicable public health guidelines, including those promulgated by the 欧美口爆视频 Department of Public Health and Environment and Boulder County Public Health, with the goal of providing safe and meaningful experiences for members of the university community.听 This policy is supported by the Event and Activities Approval Guidance document that outlines the campus event approval process. A Checklist for Success

Please reference the聽student leader handbook聽for your student organization questions first. If you still have a question that requires additional information, please reach out to the Student Affairs Team at聽law.studentaffairs@colorado.edu.

As there are so many events happening each day, it is important to be proactive when selecting your date. To begin, reference the to view other scheduled events.

If there are speakers or faculty who are important to the event, it often is best to consider their schedules before selecting a date. If you are trying to juggle many different schedules, consider using a service like聽聽to coordinate availability.听聽 聽聽

Student organizations are provided $500 at the beginning of each academic year to fund their events and no additional funding application is required to use those funds. If your organization would like to apply for additional funds beyond what you are allocated at the beginning of the year, visit this webpage for more information.

Complete when planning student events. This form must be completed at least 10 business days before the date of your event. If your event has alcohol, you must complete this form at least 30 calendar days before your event (by Dec. 1st if your event will be during the first two weeks of January).听

This form is required if you intend to host聽an outdoor event or have over 200 guests. **It must be filled out at least 10 business days before your event**

The Event/Activity Host (Client)聽will be the person in charge of providing details about the event, being a point of contact, and attending the event.

Once you have filled out the this information, answered the few questions that follow, submit the form. 罢丑别听form will be sent to all necessary stakeholders across campus and routed back to you once approved聽via Docusign.

In order to reserve a room log into to make your reservation.听聽You may send your request to Law Events聽if you do not have access for a desired space.

听听听听听听狈辞迟别:听If you are hosting a ThAC or FAC, reserve either the Courtyard OR the Caf茅 along with rooms 202 and 204.

Note: If you are hosting a virtual event, Classroom Zoom rooms should not be used for public facing events. If you plan on publicizing to an external audience, you must contact the law events team at lawevents@colorado.edu聽to setup a Zoom webinar link.

Should you need A/V support for your event, please email聽lawit@colorado.edu聽at least 5聽business day in advance. Coverage cannot be guaranteed without 48 hour notice.

In order to successfully publicize your event, it is important first to consider your desired audience. Then, make a plan for inviting people and publicizing your event. Note: Do not share Zoom classroom links for public events.

*Events with alcohol cannot be publicized to the public if hosted at a facility without a liquor license.*

You can get the word out in many different ways:

  • Post on the Law School Events Calendar
  • Send personal emails to key invitees two weeks before the event聽聽
  • Post the event; this will display it on the events calendar and include it in the Law Buff Brief emails聽
  • Each class has a Facebook group where you can post events
  • You can post flyers on bulletin boards with approval from Dean鈥檚 Suite Front Desk located on the 3rd floor
  • If you are interested in getting alumni to attend, contact Robyn Munn (robyn.munn@colorado.edu) by the 20th of the month before your event, and she may be able to include your event in the alumni newsletter and/or publicize it by various social media. You may also contact Yesenia Delgado (Yesenia.delgado@colorado.edu) by the 1st of the month to include your event in the Monthly Event Docket.

For general events reach out to Law Events at lawevents@colorado.edu for information. For events led by a student organization, reach out to law.studentaffairs@colorado.edu.

If you need parking for a guest speaker please complete the at least 24-48 hours in advance聽to make arrangements. Parking is a first come/first serve basis on requests so make your request as early as possible.

If your event will need 5 or more parking passes then you need to reach out to Parking Services by filling out this form.

Make sure all trash is taken to the loading dock, rooms are clean and in same form as they were found, all items/chairs/equipment/tables are put back in its original location. If a trash cart is needed, contact lawfrontdesk@colorado.edu

Student groups often bring speakers to campus. If you are interested in inviting a speaker to campus, it is important to extend an invitation聽at least one month聽in advance. Once you have invited your speaker, please follow the general checklist for planning events. Go ahead and reserve a date and a room even if your speaker is unconfirmed. As the date approaches, please send your speaker information on the format of their presentation, including projected attendance numbers, the set up of the room, length, format for questions and answers. Also, please provide the speaker with聽directions听补苍诲听parking information.听
