    Located on the first floor of the UMC, The Connection is THE place on campus for fun things to do with friends and family!     Mechanic

    Student Assistant I • $16.00/hr • 8-20 hours/week

    The Connection mechanics are a unit of student paraprofessionals whose primary function is to service, maintain and repair bowling equipment in addition to assisting with maintenance and service needs in and around The Connection facility.

    Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Events Planning & Catering is a  full-service event planning resource for Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ and the Boulder area. We work with on- and off-campus clients to plan the perfect event for 10 to 1,000 guests.     Intern

    Student Assistant I • $16.00/hr • 10-12 hours per week during business hours (8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.)

    The Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Events Planning & Catering student employees play an important role in the overall success of our department. They are often the first line of communication for walk-in traffic, phone calls and emails. They are responsible for scheduling rooms in the UMC as well as classrooms across campus. In addition to reserving spaces, our student employees are responsible for small catering orders. Students help ease the workload of the full-time event planners by creating diagrams for events, supporting events and reservations scheduled within the UMC, and completing many other daily office tasks.

    Student Lead

    Student Assistant II • $16.85/hr • 10-12 hours per week during business hours (8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.)

    The Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Events Planning & Catering student employees play an important role in the overall success of our department.       The UMC Administration office supports the programmatic, business and operational goals of the UMC. We help coordinate projects and training for our staff in areas that include marketing, training, IT, set-up, events planning and more. Our work is grounded in our mission to be the heart of campus, and we strive to provide an inclusive and welcoming environment to all.

        The UMC hosts 2.3 million visitors per year and has 262,869 square feet of meeting, office and lounge space, open 117 hours per week. We serve as a multi-cultural center, a center for activism and community interaction, and the state of Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ’s veteran’s memorial. The UMC houses the largest ballroom in Boulder and the only bowling center in Boulder and hosts more than 16,000 meetings and events each year.
