- A year ago, Mya Hollingshed chose to forego the WNBA draft for a chance at an NCAA Tournament selection. That decision was the start of the buildup to a more recent entry draft, where Hollingshed was selected as the eighth overall pick in the first round by the Las Vegas Aces.
- University of Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Athletic Hall-of-Famer Cliff Branch finally had his dream come true, posthumously, as he was selected for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame—class of 2022. The induction will take place in Canton, Ohio, in August.
- Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ men's basketball will host the first round of the National Invitation Tournament at 9 p.m. on March 15. Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ women’s basketball is heading to the NCAA Tournament for a game at 11:30 a.m. on March 18.
- This Friday and Saturday, the Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ track and field program is sending six student-athletes to the NCAA championships, five of them women. This represents the largest female contingent from Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ competing at nationals in individual events since 2001.
- The Pac-12 Conference announced the 2022 class of the Pac-12 Hall of Honor, including Jenny Simpson, who was a member of the cross-country and track and field teams from 2005–09. She is one of the most decorated athletes in Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ history.
- Spencer Wood got off to a busy and successful start at the Paralympic Games in Beijing, competing in three events in the first four days of the games in para-alpine skiing.
- Last weekend, after a stunning Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ victory by the men's basketball team over No. 2 Arizona, Battey hopped onto the scorer's table and delivered a heartfelt, passionate "thank you" to everyone who supported him, helped him and cheered him on during his five years in Boulder.
- After narrowly escaping the fourth-seeded and 14th ranked Arizona Wildcats, 45-43, in Thursday's Pac-12 quarterfinal, Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ is heading to the semifinals for the first time since 2015.
- The University of Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Athletics Department has unveiled its new goal-targeted strategy that will help Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ continue to build a culture that places the highest of values on core diversity, equity and inclusion principles.
