Facebook executive and Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ-Boulder alumnus Kelly Graziadei will give the 2016 Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ-Boulder spring commencement ceremony address on Saturday, May 7, at Folsom Field.

At its regular meeting on Thursday and Friday at the University of Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Springs, the University of Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Board of Regents heard tuition proposals for the 2016-17 academic year, approved changes to Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ-Boulder academic programs, approved new contracts for Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ-Boulder head coaches and more.

Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ-Boulder Today sat down with Senior Vice Chancellor and CFO Kelly Fox to discuss the campus’s request to the Board of Regents for a final $6.3 million in additional funding needed to complete renovations and expansions of Folsom Field, which was approved today.

On Friday afternoon, the University of Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Board of Regents heard a proposal for a new tuition plan for Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ-Boulder, which offers resident students a fixed tuition guarantee for four years from the date that they matriculate. Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ-Boulder Today sat down with Chancellor Philip P. DiStefano to discuss these proposed changes and what they mean for students.

The Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ-Boulder is ranked No. 5 in the nation – up one spot from last year – for graduates serving as Peace Corps volunteers with 53 alumni currently serving around the world, the Peace Corps announced Feb. 18.

Francis Beckwith will serve as the Visiting Scholar in Conservative Thought and Policy for the 2016-17 academic year. He is the fourth person to hold the position. Beckwith earned a PhD in philosophy from Fordham University and a master of juridical studies from the Washington University School of Law in St. Louis. Beckwith, professor of philosophy and church-state studies at Baylor University in Texas, will succeed Brian Domitrovic, whose appointment ends this academic year.

Students from the University of Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Boulder’s Leeds School of Business are offering free tax preparation services under the Internal Revenue Service-sponsored Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.
