Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ CSF

The Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Shakespeare Festival is a professional theatre company in association with the University of Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Boulder. Since 1958, the festival has celebrated and explored Shakespeare and his continuing influence and vitality through productions of superior artistic quality, education and community engagement.

CSF strives to preserve the classics of the past and pursue the classics of the future. Fueled by artistry and scholarship, the festival seeks to expand the cultural richness of the region by inspiring, challenging and cultivating the imagination of audiences and artists.

Plays are performed beneath summer night skies in the historic Mary Rippon Outdoor Theatre and in the newly renovated indoor University Theatre.

Opportunities for Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Students

Since the early 1980s, Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ graduate students have been chosen each year to serve as dramaturgs working directly with the summer directors.ÌýStudents may also serve as assistant directors, depending on qualifications.ÌýÅ·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ graduate and undergraduate students are eligible to apply for summer work in acting, management, costumes, crafts, etc. During the academic year, other internship and employment opportunities exist with CSF.
