Science Discovery high school classes and STEM Research Experiences prepare high school students for their transition to college and provide insight into possible STEM career paths. These pre-college programs combine academics and campus-based activities to give high school students a well-rounded introduction to college life. Students are immersed in one to four-week STEM-focused courses in areas such as aerospace, medicine, biomedical research, neuroscience, maker technologies and innovation, robotics, video game design, forensics and more. High school classes and the STEM Research Experience are offered in a commuter format for local students.

The Panoramic Flutist four-day residential seminar for flutists will resume in 2026. 

°Õ³ó±ðÌýSummer Music Academy at the University of Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Boulder College of Music presents exciting opportunities for high school and middle school musicians from Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ and around the country to receive world-class instruction.

°Õ³ó±ðÌýSummer Master of Music Education (MME) degree at the University of Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Boulder is designed to address a variety of interests, needs and areas of expertise for K-12 teachers. Students working toward an MME degree complete 12 hours of study in music education, 12 hours of study in music and six hours of open electives.

For professional wind and orchestral conductors, these summer symposia—led by College of Music conducting faculty and renowned guests—strengthen conducting technique, rehearsal strategies and more.

The 30th Annual Summer Alexander Technique Plus Program–June 23-27, 2025– includes significant aspects of the Alexander Technique, Body Mapping, movement, mindfulness and psychology—all in the service of inclusive well-being. 

(SPA) is a full-scholarship intensive summer chamber music and solo performance program focused on cultural diversity for string musicians ages 11-17.

The Office of International Education offers a number of summer study abroad programs for students, which provide incredible opportunities to travel, explore, and broaden your experience while staying on track to earn your Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Boulder degree. Both Ìý²¹²Ô»åÌý are available for summer 2018.

Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Science Discovery offers a variety of hands-on STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) and for K-12 audiences. Week-long full and half-day programs on the Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Boulder and Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Anschutz Medical campuses explore a variety of topics, including outdoor ecology, robotics and coding, engineering and design, space science, biomedical sciences, maker technologies, photography and much more. All programs, led by Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ graduate students and subject matter experts, offer experiential learning activities designed to connect participants to Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ science, research, and campus resources and facilities.

The Post-Baccalaureate Health Professions program is designed for college graduates who are preparing to apply to medical school, dental school, or other professional school programs in clinical health care. Students typically range in age from their 20s to their 40s and beyond. By enrolling in Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Boulder’s rigorous math and science courses, the program’s students complete the prerequisite coursework needed to apply to professional school. Additionally, students work closely with an expert team of dedicated pre-health advisors. The robust program of pre-health advising and application coaching services are designed to enhance students’ competitiveness for admission to professional school. Each year, 95-100% of the program’s students who apply to professional school are successful in gaining admission.
