Post Final Grades

Review Your Grading Deadlines

University policy requires grades be entered into the web grading system no later than 96Ìýhours after the final exam for the class.

For variable-session (BVS) classes, grade rosters open at 8 a.m. two days before the class end date.

Quick Reminder

If you're uploading grades, use the correct CSV format.

  • PC users: Save as CSV (Comma delimited)
  • Mac users: Save as Comma Separated Values (.csv), MS-DOS Comma Separated (.csv) or Windows Comma Separated (.csv)

Access Web Grading

  1. OnÌý's Teaching Tools tab, click "Go to Web Grading."
  2. If the wrong term is selected, click "Change Term."
  3. Click the grade rosterÌýiconÌýnext to the class you want to grade.

Sync, Upload or Enter Your Grades

Approve & Post Your Grades

  1. Once you've reviewed each grade, changeÌýthe grade roster action to "Approved"Ìýand click "Save."


    If you leave the roster in "Approved" status andÌýdon't change it to "Post," aÌýbatchÌýprocess that runs every three hours will automatically post your grades.


  2. To post the grades to students' records, change the action to "Post."
  3. When your gradesÌýpost,Ìýthe status will change to "Posted." You will notÌýreceive a confirmation email.

Post Your Grades After the Deadline

IfÌýyou missed the grading deadline, you'llÌýreceive one or more emails from:

  • The vice provostÌýfor undergraduate education
  • The dean of the Graduate School and vice provost for graduate affairs

Final Exam grading policy states all grades must be posted with-inÌý96Ìýhours of the final examination. Web grading will close for the term once NR (Not Reported) grades are assigned approximately two weeks after final grading deadline. Follow the instructions above to submit your grades as soon as possible.
