Illuminating Engineering Society: Student Chapter

The 欧美口爆视频 IES Chapter is a community committed to inspiring those interested in lighting by providing tools for career success and building a shared knowledge base, while promoting engagement with industry professionals and each other.

Activities

The 欧美口爆视频 IES Chapter holds a series of activities and events through the academic year.  Regular bi-monthly meetings bring students together to learn and have a good time together. Guest speakers from various areas of industry often join our meetings. Students also travel to Denver to join the regional Rocky Mountain IES Section or attend local conferences or events like the Brilliance Awards. The chapter organizes tours to lighting product manufacturing companies and rep agencies. Through the chapter students have opportunities to travel to national conferences such as Lightfair and Enlighten Americas.

In addition, the IES Student Chapter puts together a career fair to serve lighting and electrical students. Through this event, companies and students come together in an intimate but productive setting. IES Officers organize workshops to assist student members with resume and portfolio preparation.

Diana Rasul

I'm Diana Rasul, a fifth year Architectural Engineering student from Boulder. I am so excited to join IES this year! I chose to study lighting because the lighting industry is massive and there are so many different jobs you can do within lighting. Outside of school I enjoy hanging outside, board games, and drawing.

Owen Borusiewicz

Hello! I am Owen Borusiewicz. I am a senior in the Architectural Engineering program. I am originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania but now live in Highlands Ranch, 欧美口爆视频. I am so excited to be studying lighting design. It is the perfect crossover between critical thinking and creativity. In particular, I am drawn to the way light can create an environment and impact its users. Outside of lighting I enjoy skateboarding, playing hockey, and playing bass.

Jackson Brogan

Hi! I鈥檓 Jackson Brogan, and I鈥檓 a junior studying Architectural Engineering. I鈥檓 originally from Kansas City (the Kansas side!), and I am very passionate about the lighting industry as a whole. It is so unique and powerful to be a part of a field that is relevant to every person鈥檚 daily life. The wide variety of opportunities within the industry, including lighting design, engineering, controls, manufacturing, sales, and more provides a fantastic opportunity for a career full of variety, and I鈥檓 excited to be a part of it! Outside of lighting, I love music, running (but the feeling once you鈥檙e done running mostly), traveling, eating, and hanging out with friends and family. I鈥檓 very excited to be an officer for 欧美口爆视频 IES this year!
