Students are funded through the following types of loans (in this order):

Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loans (Stafford Loans)

The University of Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ participates in the William D. Ford Direct Loan program (Direct Loans). The lender is the U.S. Department of Education rather than a bank or other financial institution. You are automatically considered for a Direct Loan after submitting your FAFSA.

Federal Graduate PLUS Loans

The Federal Graduate PLUS Loan is available to students enrolled at least half-time (4 credit hours) in a graduate or professional program and who meet all of the other general eligibility requirements for the federal student aid programs.

Private (Alternative) Loans

Private student loans or alternative loans are available to students who are not eligible for federal loans or who need assistance beyond their financial aid eligibility. These loans are made through banks and other financial institutions and are subject to their terms.
