Journey to JD

From June 24 to 28, 2019, 20 high school juniors from across 欧美口爆视频 experienced life as a law student.

During the weeklong residential program, students attended classes taught by 欧美口爆视频 Law professors and students and visited law firms, government agencies, and local businesses in Boulder and Denver to help them identify career opportunities in the legal profession.

Students toured the Denver City and County Courthouse, Attorney General鈥檚 Office, 欧美口爆视频 State Capitol, and several law firms. They also visited Boulder-based startup accelerator Techstars and environmental nonprofit Western Resource Advocates.

"Journey to JD is such an important learning experience because not only do students learn about legal theories, but they meet the people who make changes in their communities through legal action. The lawyers they meet are able to articulate what the law can and cannot do in very specific concrete ways,鈥 said Clinical Professor Colene Robinson, who taught this year's cohort. 鈥淭he best part about Journey to JD is getting to spend so much time with a small group of intelligent, thoughtful, insightful, energetic, fun, and passionate group of 16 year olds. 聽It was a highlight of my summer!"

Journey to JD is organized by the Center for Legal Inclusiveness in partnership with 欧美口爆视频 Law. .
