Dr. Depner continues to study the interactions between sleep and circadian physiology, nutrition, and physical activity with the goal of understanding how sleep and circadian disruption increases the risk of metabolic disorders. A key focus of Dr. Depner鈥檚 ongoing studies is to develop biomarkers of sleep and circadian health to aid in the implementation of sleep and circadian based interventions that promote metabolic health.
Jacob Guzzetti
Jake was a member of the SCL first from 2014 to 2017, then again from 2018 to 2019 as a Professional Research Assistant. He is currently a Sr. Professional Research Assitant and Remote Research Assitant at the University of South Australia and hopes to pursue a PhD.

Andrew McHill, Ph.D.
Dr. McHill was in the SCL from 2010 to 2014 and earned his Ph.D. He is currently a Research Assistant Professor at the Oregon Institute of Occupational Health Sciences at Oregon Health & Science University. His research focuses on uncovering mechanisms that lead to the adverse cardiometabolic health and safety outcomes observed in those working, eating, and being awake during the night. After leaving the lab, he did a post-doctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School/Brigham and Women's Hospital with Chuck Czeisler and Beth Klerman.
Shannon Lanza, M.S.

Hannah Ritchie, Ph.D.
Dr. Ritchie was in the SCL from 2014 to 2018, earning her Master's in Integrative Physiology and her Ph.D. in Integrative Physiology and Neuroscience. She is currently working as a medical writer for a scientific/medical communications agency that specializes in publication planning. She writes manuscripts and abstracts, creates posters and oral presentations for scientific conferences, and constructs educational slide decks on wake-promoting and sleep medications for narcolepsy and obstructive sleep apnea. In addition, since leaving the lab, she moved into the mountains into a little lakeside bungalow in Evergreen and got a dog, a Samoyed named Caspian.
