Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ

Financial aid is available to Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ resident students who have been in foster care at any time on or after turning age 13. The FosterED program was created by the state of Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ and allows Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Boulder to provide financial aid to cover a student's full cost of attendance.

Amount

Eligible students will have their full cost of attendance covered each school year. The cost of attendance includes tuition and fees, housing, food, books, transportation and personal education-related expenses. Financial aid will be a combination of grants which do not need to be repaid.

Eligibility

• Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ resident
• In foster care in Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ at the age of 13 or older, or placed with a relative by court order
• Program covers up to 132 credit hours of coursework
• Degree-seeking first year or continuing undergraduate
• Graduate students may be eligibleÌý
• Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress each semester

How to Apply

1. Apply for financial aid each year through the , or the financial aid application for undocumented Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ students.
2. Apply for the program if eligible; not required.
3. Submit documentation showing proof of foster care and copy of your ETV application (if applicable) to the Office of Financial Aid.

Acceptable Documents

Foster care documentation can be requested from your caseworker, or by emailing a foster care navigator. Examples of foster care documentation include:

• Court affidavit
• Confirmation of Foster Care Experience form
