Funded by the Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Boulder Office forÌýPublic and Community-Engaged Scholarship, ALTEC offered a free American Sign Language (ASL)/ Deaf CultureÌýcrash course this past summer. A collaborative effort with the , this course provided participants with essential ASL communication skills as well as a deeper understanding of Deaf culture. The course was led by ALTEC faculty member Pamela Macias and featured guest speakers from the Deaf community.Ìý
