University Hill Community Cleanup And Social Set For Oct. 22

The University of Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Student Union, in conjunction with the University Hill Neighborhood Association, will sponsor a neighborhood cleanup and social on Sunday, Oct. 22, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The meeting area for participants will be the University Hill parking lot located at 13th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue. "This is a time to get to know one another and break down barriers to form a stronger, safer community for everyone," said Amanda Breeden, UCSU Community Relations director.

United States And Russia Release Arctic Climate Data

Urban/Rural Divorce Trial To Be Played Out In Fort Collins

The program will be held from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 301 E. Stuart St., and is sponsored by Common Ground - The Urban/Rural Connection, an organization that promotes sustainable communities. The event is free and open to the public.

Eatons Donate $5 Million For Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ-Boulder's Arts And Sciences Building

The Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Board of Regents announced today that Woody and Leslie Eaton have donated $5 million toward the support of Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ-BoulderÂ’s new Humanities Building at the College of Arts and Sciences. "This is a tremendous commitment in support of Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ-Boulder and the College of Arts and Sciences," said Chancellor Richard Byyny. "WeÂ’re very appreciative of this gift and what it means for the new Humanities Building, as well as for the college. Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ-Boulder Chancellor Richard Byyny and Tuskegee University President Benjamin Payton will sign an agreement on Monday, Oct. 16, that will join the two campuses in an exchange of students, faculty, curriculum and technology. The agreement will be signed at the Kellogg Conference Center on the campus of Tuskegee University.

A unique seminar on environmental issues involving prominent Jewish thinkers, environmental activists, businesspeople, academics and local politicians will be hosted by the University of Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ at BoulderÂ’s Environmental Studies Program Oct. 17. The seminar is the first event of a new project the National Jewish Center for Learning and Leadership, or CLAL, has begun to bring together people with diverse perspectives on environmental issues for study and dialogue, said Rabbi Robert Rabinowitz, a senior fellow at the center. CLAL is based in New York City.
