Several pre-bowl events are scheduled this month in preparation for the return of Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ-Boulder's Trivia Bowl April 2-6, including mock Trivia Bowls March 13 and 21 and a seeding test March 18 to match teams competitively for the five-day bowl. On March 13 and March 21, the University of Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Student Union's Program Council will preview the fun and excitement of the Trivia Bowl with mock bowls in the University Memorial Center dining area across from Baby Doe's.

Accounting students from the University of Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ at Boulder's College of Business will prepare tax returns for low-income people and those with special needs in two free tax clinics on March 14 and April 4.

Two legal scholars will hold a forum on "Corporate Disclosure of Environmental Risks," at noon March 12, in room 294 of the University of Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ at Boulder's School of Law. The forum, supported by the university's Natural Resources Law Center, will feature Robert Repetto of the University of Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ at Denver and Cynthia Williams from the Georgetown University Law Center. Both will discuss research regarding corporations' disclosures to investors of their companies' environmental risks.

The Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Court of Appeals will hear arguments in the Lindsley Memorial Courtroom at the University of Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ at Boulder School of Law March 20 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Students will get a chance to hear oral arguments, ask the presiding judges questions and attend a reception afterward in the Moorhead-Rutledge Lounge. "This is a unique opportunity for students to ask the participants questions since that chance almost never comes up once students get into practice," said James B. Levy, a legal writing instructor at the law school.

Mr. Makoto Mizutani, Japanese Consul General at Denver, will speak on "Recent Trends in the Japanese Mentality" at the University of Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ at Boulder on March 16 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. in Humanities 150.

The 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals will hear arguments at the University of Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ at Boulder School of Law on March 13 in the Lindsley Memorial Courtroom from 9 a.m. to noon. Students will get a chance to hear oral arguments in numerous cases, including the Joseluis Saenz v. Department of Interior case on possession of eagle feathers, whose brief was authored by Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ-Boulder law student Laranne Arbaugh under the supervision of former Indian Law Clinic director Jerilyn DeCoteau.

On March 10-11, 36 university students enrolled in a situation comedy course will perform and video tape an episode of NBC's popular show "Friends" before a live audience at Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ-Boulder's Irey Stage in the University Theatre. This is the class's third year but the first time a show will be taped in front of an audience. Taping on Saturday is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. The public is invited to watch the show.

Ronald J. Gilson, professor of law and business at Stanford and Columbia universities, will deliver the 44th annual John R. Coen Lecture on March 19 at 4 p.m. in the Lindsley Memorial Courtroom at the Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ-Boulder School of Law. The lecture, titled "Comparative Venture Capital," is free and open to the public. Gilson is the Charles J. Myers Professor of Law and Business at Stanford University and the Stern Professor of Law and Business at Columbia University.

Nobody likes moving, but imagine packing and moving a house full of 3 million fragile, old and priceless items, all of which have to arrive in perfect condition. That is the task the University of Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Museum of Natural History is currently undertaking. This summer the Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Museum will relocate most of its specimen collections, laboratories, offices and its graduate program to the newly renovated Museum Collections Building on the Boulder campus.

How will the Napster decision impact the future of the Internet, its business strategies and development? These and other questions will be explored at the March 15 Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ-Boulder forum on "Public Values and the Architecture of the Information Age: The Future of Intellectual Property, Privacy and Open Source."
