Health Huts: Compassion and Self-Care

Compassion is important when it comes to caring for yourself and others. Attend this workshop to learn how to self-compassion and self-care can help you reduce stress.

Get ready for the next career fair! Learn how to build the best résumé, interviewing tips, how to have conversations with employers and more! Be sure to to attend.

#BeTheChange Challenge

February is Black History Month. Join the #BeTheChange Challenge. Through the challenge, you’ll engage with music, articles, podcastsand films to learn about current and historical issues of racial inequity and ways to be part of the solution.


Wednesday, Feb. 2

11 a.m.–2 p.m. UMC Glenn Miller Ballroom
Find your passion and your place at the Involvement Fair! Connect with student organizations and learn about campus events. It’s a great way to find community on campus.

3:30–4:30 p.m. Virtual
Share an afternoon with Disability Services and Mia Ives-Rublee as she talks about her expertise in disability justice with environmental organizations, institutions and broader coalitions—including outdoor recreation access, being a competitive athlete, plastic ban advocacy and the value of public protest and voting. Live ASL interpretation will be provided, and registration is required to attend.

4–6 p.m.UMC 457
Visit and check out what the Dennis Small Cultural Center (DSCC) has planned for this spring and how you can get involved! The DSCC works to be a safe space for students and provide cultural and social justice-oriented events and programs.

Come test your luck at a single or double knock-out pingpong tournament! Sign-up starts at 6 p.m. at The Connection front desk. There will be prizes for top finishers!

Feb. 3 7–9 p.m.
Here’s your chance to take your best rendition of “Billie Jean” or “Oops!... I Did It Again” to the people! Attend karaoke nights for a great night of music and a fun time with friends.

Feb. 4,5 7–11 p.m.$3.50 per game
Grab a couple of friends and get ready to have a great night at The Connection! Enjoy the fun of bowling with black lights, colored lane lights and color pins. It’s the only extreme bowling you’ll find in Boulder!


Thursday, Feb. 3

7–9 p.m.UMC 235
Take time to relax and learn from a pro by attending a guided paint class. It’s a great way to get to know others while creating a painting you can’t wait to show off to your friends! All supplies are included. Registration is required to attend this event.


Friday, Feb. 4

4–6 p.m. UMC,The Connection
Connect with your community at this fun UMC tradition! February’s theme is “Be Kind and Get Your Groove On.” Enjoy free cookie decorating, sub sandwiches, chips and hot chai. Plus there will be half-price bowling and billiards during the event.

6–10 p.m. UMC, Glenn Miller Ballroom
Come roller skate in the UMC! Bring a friend and enjoy food, games, cookie decorating and lots of fun activities.

8–10:30 p.m.Chemical Engineering, Room 140
Come watch a movie on the big screen with Program Council. Tonight’s film is The Big Lebowski. There will be free popcorn, and the event is open to all students and guests. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.; the film begins at 8 p.m.
