Beginning next month, some ŷڱƵ Boulder students could win $5 in campus cash by completing a survey that tests their civics knowledge.
The survey will run from Jan. 6–21 among a selected sample of first-year ŷڱƵ Boulder students. The students will, during that time, receive an email linking them to the survey, which asks questions about American government, the U.S. Constitution and the foundations of the American political system.
The survey, requested by the ŷڱƵ Board of Regents, will help the campuses implement certificate programs in civics beginning in the spring of 2020 and make further enhancements in civics education on each campus.
“We encourage all ŷڱƵ Boulder students contacted for the survey to participate,” said ŷڱƵ Boulder Provost Russell Moore. “Finding new ways to revitalize civic engagement among ŷڱƵ students starts with measuring how much students know about the basics of government and the American political system.”
