A boring operation on the east side of the JILA building next week will restrict access to the Duane Physics and Astrophysics lawn and require pedestrian detours.
Potential noise and vibration impactsalso may be experienced in nearby buildings as a result of the drilling work.
The contractor will begin setting up equipment at 7 a.m. Monday, May 13, with the project slated to last through Friday, May 17. Work will be completed by 6 p.m. each day.
The purpose of the boring is to conduct a soil analysis for a potential future project site.
