The Volunteer Resource Center has partnered with local non-profit organizations to offer Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ in the Community Summer Service Days for faculty and staff.

These projects create an opportunity for faculty and staff to connect with others in the campus community and give back to local communities. There are volunteer shifts for a variety of half-day morning and afternoon projects.

Service days will occur June 26, July 12 and July 17. Volunteer opportunities include:

  • "Yard busters" with Cultivate: Participants will work outdoors to mow, rake, clear debris, trim shrubs and complete other yardwork for elders and people with disabilities in the community.
  • "Food access" with Community Food Share: Help sort food donations for people in our community facing food insecurity. This project will take place mostly indoors.
  • "Milk and honey farm" with Boulder Jewish Community Center: Participants will be outdoors gardening, weeding and tending to the farm.
  • Animal sanctuary beautification with Luvin' Arms: Work outdoors to help make a beautiful forever home for rescued farm animals. Activities may include building out animal living areas, working on fencing, removing debris and general grounds maintenance.
  • Native seed collection with Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks: Serve and preserve the local environment by collecting native seeds! Participants will be hiking outside.
  • Urban gardening with Earth's Table: Participants will plant, harvest, weed and support the urban garden. All of the fresh produce—100 percent—is donated to folks in need in the Boulder community.
  • Support youth in need with A Precious Child: Process clothing and other types of donations for youth in need in a mostly indoor setting.
