Do you know what a Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Regent does for the university?ÌýBefore the ballots drop on Oct. 17, you may wish to take advantage of these upcoming opportunities to hear from the two candidates for an at-large seat on the Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Board of Regents. At-Large Regents represent the entire state, so every Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ voter will see these candidates on the 2016 ballot.Ìý

Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Regent At-Large Candidates

Heidi Ganahl,Ìýa Republican from Superior, earned her bachelor's degree in business from Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Boulder in 1988.Ìý

Alice Madden,Ìýa Democrat from Louisville, earned her bachelor's degree in psychology 1981 and law degree from Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Boulder in 1989.Ìý

On Friday, Oct. 14, at 12:30 p.m. the and the are hosting a candidate forum at the Leeds Business School, in room 255 of the Koelbel building.

Candidate Heidi Ganahl cannot appear in-person for this event, but will be providing a video to share information about herself and her platform. The event is open to all members of the Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ community, and is not a campaign event – however, the BFA requests that faculty and staff use personal leave to attend.

On Sunday, Oct. 16,Ìý3 to 4 p.m., the Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Advocates program is hosting a telephone town hall with the candidates, giving allow Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ constituents from across the state to hear from the candidates and ask questions. The candidates will discuss their campaign platforms in a balanced, non-debate format. , and you may submit questions for the candidates on your registration form.
