Everyone’s favorite time of year is here again and we couldn’t be more excited. Freshman are moved in, the bookstore continues to be busy and never sell out, and we are all enjoying the temporary bliss of syllabus week. While we are saying goodbye to summer, we are saying hello to another great year on our beautiful campus with friends, the Flatirons, Hungry Buffs, caffeine, and studying at Norlin Library until 4 a.m. every once in a while.

The beginning of the fall semester also includes supporting our football team and breaking out all of our best Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ gear. The most important game of the season is fast approaching at the end of this week and we are more than ready to take on the Rams in Denver.

This Friday, Sept.Ìý2, is the annual Rocky Mountain Showdown at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. Our team, our school, and our colors are something we Buffs take great pride in and it is very important for us to represent the Buffs in the best light as we take on the Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ State Rams. We are all very excited, but we need to remember that we are a representation of our school and what we do reflects Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ, other students, and our legacy.

The rivalry between Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ and CSU is at a much higher level this time of year, and we need to remember that everyone’s emotions may be running high. Inappropriate behavior will not only cause repercussions in Denver, but will follow you back to Boulder also. We all take pride in our school and we want everyone to know that the Buffs value good sportsmanship no matter the outcome of the game.

Think before you act, look out for those around you, have fun, stand proud, Shoulder to Shoulder.

SKO Buffs!
