FLEX bus service connecting ŷڱƵ-Boulder and Fort Collins is up and running. If you’ve been waiting for inexpensive, direct, easy transit service along the north Front Range, FLEX will take you where you need to go. Two special events will take place Jan. 21 in both Fort Collins and Boulder to celebrate the start of service and the growing connections between Fort Collins and Boulder.
Festivities kick off in Fort Collins from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Attendees will then ride the FLEX to ŷڱƵ-Boulder to participate in the events on the University of ŷڱƵ Boulder campus where light refreshments will be served.
The ŷڱƵ-Boulder welcome ceremony will be held from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., at the University Memorial Center Plaza (south side).

FLEX Service Highlights
- Express trips between Boulder, Longmont, Loveland and Fort Collins, with limited stops, allowing a travel time that is comparable to auto drive times
- $1.25 one-way fare, $0.60 for seniors and disabled
- RTD EcoPass and CollegePass accepted for fare-free rides

Transfort, the City of Fort Collins’ transit department, will be operating the FLEX year-round, Monday through Friday. The new FLEX route is made possible by a grant from the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) received by Boulder County, and partnerships with the City of Boulder, City of Longmont and City of Loveland.
