An article to be published in the U.S. Department of EducationÂ’s Winter 2000 newsletter will feature the Web site Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ 4 K12, which gives teachers access to information and educational programs from the University of Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ at Boulder for use in the classroom.

The site is at . The Department of Education newsletter circulates to 8,000 schools regionally covering Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ, Wyoming, Montana, South Dakota and Utah.

Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ 4 K12 was created by Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ-BoulderÂ’s Office of Community Relations and is a comprehensive outreach tool for Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ elementary, middle and high school teachers and students. The site provides easy access to more than 180 Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ-Boulder outreach programs, campus resources, professional development services and Internet resources for research.

"We designed the site with teachers in mind," said Wynn Martens, director of the Office of Community Relations. "These programs and information have always been available to teachers and students. Now they are accessible in one, easy to navigate location."

After reviewing the Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ 4 K12 Web site, department of education staff chose to include a story about the Web site in its newsletter because they found it to be an excellent resource for teachers.
