The College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ at Boulder is sponsoring a special screening of the documentary "The Kindness of Strangers."

The film, produced by Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ-Boulder graduates James Redford (son of Robert Redford) and Maro Chermayeff, delves into organ donation and transplants from the personal perspective of recipients, donors and their families.

The documentary, to be shown Thursday, Oct. 14, at 3:15 p.m. in the new Humanities Building, basement auditorium, will be followed by a discussion.

"Ms. Chermayeff and Mr. Redford will lead a discussion after the documentary," said Janet Jones Johnson, events planner for Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ-BoulderÂ’s College of Arts and Sciences.

Throughout the documentary, Redford and Chermayeff follow four transplant patients and two families who made the decision to donate their loved onesÂ’ organs. Redford is the recipient of a transplanted liver.
