The Study Abroad Program at the University of Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ at Boulder awarded more than $50,000 in scholarships and four exchange positions to students enrolled in study abroad programs this spring.

Students were awarded scholarships and exchange positions based on financial need, academic standing and the student's ability to write and be a good ambassador for the university and the United States.

The program's auxiliary accounts, alumni donations, the Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Commission on Higher Education Diversity Fund and foundation donations provide the money for the scholarships. Exchange positions are not monetary awards but a reduction in study abroad program fees worth several thousand dollars.

Following are the names of scholarship recipients who received $1,000 or more, their hometown, scholarship name, award amount, location of studies and academic major.
