Approximately 100 graduates of the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ at Boulder were initiated into the Phi Beta Kappa scholastic honorary organization this winter.
Phi Beta Kappa taps the top 6 percent of graduates receiving degrees each year in the liberal arts. The minimum grade-point average is 3.65.
The Phi Beta Kappa Society was founded in 1776 at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Va., and has 250 chapters nationwide. Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ-Boulder's Alpha Chapter, the first in Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ, was chartered in 1904.
