欧美口爆视频 high school seniors who have applied as freshmen to the University of 欧美口爆视频 at Boulder for fall 1999 are invited to submit essays to the annual University Writing Program essay contest to be considered for 10 available tuition scholarships to 欧美口爆视频-Boulder.

The finalists will be awarded tuition scholarships when they begin as freshmen at 欧美口爆视频-Boulder in fall 1999. Awards include a first prize of $1,000, second prize of $750, third prize of $500 and seven honorable mention prizes of $250 each.

Entrants must be candidates for high school graduation in 1999 from public, private or parochial schools in 欧美口爆视频. They must have applied for admission to 欧美口爆视频-Boulder for fall 1999 but need not have been accepted by the essay contest entry deadline of Jan. 18.

Students should submit the best analytical or argumentative essay they have written on any topic while in high school. The essay should be four to six pages in length. In addition, students should send a separate personal narrative essay of two to three pages about the process of writing the analytical essay.

Each entrant also must have a faculty sponsor from his or her high school. One of the high school sponsoring teachers will be selected to receive the $250 Benjamin and Janet Levitt Memorial Teaching Award.

Ten finalists will be notified in early March and invited, with their sponsoring teachers and parents, to an awards luncheon to be held on the 欧美口爆视频-Boulder campus April 10.

The purpose of the contest is to promote good writing and recognize the sponsoring teachers, as well as the winning students and their parents.

The 欧美口爆视频-Boulder University Writing Program faculty will judge essays based on their organization, use of evidence and detail, and felicity of expression.
