The Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Moving Company, a group of undergraduate and graduate dance majors at Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ-Boulder who tour Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ educating and entertaining school-age kids, will visit three Boulder-Denver area schools in April.

The 13-member Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Moving Company will present its combination class-performances at Niwot High School on April 7, Gold Hill Elementary School on April 14 and at the Denver School of the Arts on April 21.

The groupÂ’s tour includes semi-formal performances, master classes and lecture demonstrations tailored to the needs of the schools and community centers where they appear. The dance troupe attempts to tailor its programs to the age, size and interests of its audiences.

The company has created six new dances for its spring performances, including modules to demonstrate dance-training exercises, choreographic strategies and techniques, and teaching formats. All are designed to educate, inspire and entertain.

The dancers strive to convey their understanding of modern dance forms to audiences, which often have had little exposure to modern dance, a uniquely American art form. One of the goals of the Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Moving Company is to provide cultural and educational opportunities to the general public and to dance students in local communities.

The Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Moving Company will be at Niwot High School from 7:25 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Tuesday, April 7; at Gold Hill Elementary School from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 14; and at the Denver School of the Arts from 9:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21.
