John B. Davies, a physics researcher at University of Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ at Boulder, has won his eighth award in an international theoretical physics competition sponsored by the Gravity Research Foundation of Wellesley Hills, Mass.

Davies received an honorable mention for his paper titled "Regge Calculus of the Fundamental Particles." It is the eighth award Davies has received in the annual essay competition since joining Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ-Boulder in 1980.

The competition is entered by hundreds of physicists from around the world and included winners from Canada, Israel, China, Great Britain and the United States.
