Investors, business leaders, corporate relocation services and Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ farmers rely on Richard Wobbekind to give them accurate economic forecasts each December. This year, BankOne and the University of Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ at Boulder College of Business and Administration are formally thanking him.

Wobbekind, director of the Business Research Division at the College of Business and Administration at the University of Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ at Boulder, is the recipient of the 1997 BankOne Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Corporation Faculty Community Service Award.

One full-time faculty member from each Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ campus who provides exceptional educational, humanitarian, civic or other service in his or her community is presented with a $2,500 award. Wobbekind will be honored by colleagues and business leaders at a reception on June 10 at the College of Business.

Wobbekind is responsible for the annual Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Economic Outlook forum. He relies on the expertise of more than 75 business, government and educational leaders when making employment and economic forecasts. Wobbekind presents his findings to a large public audience in Denver each December and also hosts forums around the state.
