Jacob Parelman is a Research Assistant in theÌýSocial Neuroscience and Games lab and also acts as Lab Manager. Jacob recieved his B.A. in PsychologyÌýwith Latin Honors from the Unversity of Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵÌýBoulder in May, 2014. Jacob's research interests focus onÌýhowÌýindividuals synthesize information from their past experiencesÌýand their current social environment to give rise to rational (or irrational) decisions. JacobÌýis currently investigating the underlying mechansims of decision making in adolescents, and howÌýpeer behavior influences the risky choices that teens make.ÌýJacob is especially interested in how moral concepts like 'justice' are socially constructed, andÌýhow social and spatial distance affect individuals moral choices and actions towards others (e.g.Ìýinternet 'trolls'). Jacob is planning on applying for graduate programs in social or cognitive neuroscience in the Fall of 2015.Ìý
