Spring 2020 Pass/Fail Degree Audit Encoding

Given the recent update that pass grades earned this semester will be accepted to satisfy degree requirements (see provost's announcement on lifting pass/fail restrictions), the degree audit team has been working hard to minimize the need for individual student exceptions.

Degree audit encoding has been put in place to collect all student-opted pass/fail (P/F) courses taken in Spring 2020 and apply them toward degree requirements. These P/F courses will not be counted in the current P/F limits or restrictions. The degree audit will display these courses at the top, under the Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Graduation Policy requirement, with a statement identifying the reason they are approved to apply. This will be the only place within the degree audit that references why these courses are applying and it must be displayed within this requirement at the top of the degree audit, in order to process these courses correctly.

This encoding should eliminate the need for any manual student exceptions for these Spring 2020 courses. This statement will only display on the degree audit if students have chosen to take courses as P/F, and only courses with the P/F grading basis will show.
