On Sunday, Sept. 15, the College of Music’s Golden Buffalo Marching Band (GBMB) performed at halftime at the Denver Broncos’ home opener vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers! • Meet Willem Rohwer—our 2024 Sher Distinguished Musician Scholarship recipient! Rohwer comes to the College of Music from Edwards, Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ, to pursue an undergraduate degree in double bass performance studying with Associate Professor of Double Bass Susan Cahill.

• On Sept. 26, join us for our DiMA breakfast at 9:30 a.m. (S101): All are welcome as our Diverse Musicians’ Alliance (DiMA) kicks off its 20th year! Coffee, a light breakfast and birthday cupcakes will be served.

• Professor Emerita Judith Glyde’s memoir——is based on her extraordinary experiences in the Khumbu region of the Himalayas. In a secluded village—following in the footsteps of the Buddhist teacher who enters contemplative isolation to study—she re-explored Bach’s six suites for solo cello. • Feel Good Fridays: On Fridays, 12:15-12:45 p.m., join Matt Tomatz—embedded psychotherapist with our Musicians’ Wellness Program—to learn about a work of art followed by a related mindfulness practice. Take a practice break, reduce stress, enjoy a few moments of peace and calm, and reset your mind for a great weekend. All are welcome to this weekly, hybrid meditation series.
