- The Byron R. White Center is proud to present the Thirteenth Annual John Paul Stevens Lecture on Thursday, October 24. This year's guest jurist will be The Honorable Stephen A. Higginson of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the Presiding Judge of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court of Review. Judge Higginson’s lecture is entitled, The Nuremberg Trials: Lessons for Law Students, Lawyers, and Judges. He is the first former law clerk to Justice Byron R. White to deliver the Stevens Lecture.

- Many Americans will face legal issues at some point in their life. Yet, across the nation, a persistent access to justice gap exists. Individuals with significant financial resources are often the only people who can hire attorneys, and a large class of people struggle to access a lawyer at all. Charlotte Goodenow ’24 is one Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Law alumni working to close the access to justice gap. Goodenow was named an Equal Justice Works Fellow this past spring, and will spend the next two years working at Community Economic Defense Project, a Denver-based non-profit.
