Congratulations to Judge Isabel Pallarés ’02, who was recently awarded the (DBA) ! This award honors a member of the judiciary who has demonstrated unparalleled dedication to improving the judicial process in ŷڱƵ and shown a profound commitment to the community.
“I am honored and humbled to receive this recognition since it comes from my colleagues through the Denver Bar Association, a prestigious organization with a reputation for helping attorneys,” Pallarés shared. “I am proud to practice law in Denver, the vibrant city where my legal career began, and I am privileged to continue working for Denver County Court. My job does not stop with the responsibilities that I have in the courtroom. I also appreciate the importance of community involvement. This award has inspired me to continue supporting others in the future.”
Pallares holds a bachelor's degree from Boston University and a Juris Doctor from ŷڱƵ Law. After graduating law school, Judge Pallarés interned at the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, served as a judicial intern for a federal judge, and as a served as a law clerk for Chief Judge Michael A. Martinez of the Denver District Court. Additionally, Pallarés served as Chief Deputy District Attorney for the office's Sexual Assault Unit. She volunteers as a member of - a joint activity of citizens, lawyers, and judges to provide nonpartisan information to the public about our state and federal courts. Judge Pallarés was appointed to the Denver County Court bench by Mayor Hancock in 2017.
