Cara Shaffer聽
Cara Shaffer is a graduate of The University of Texas School of Law and formerly worked as the founding director of the legal writing center at South Texas College of Law Houston. Before moving into the legal academy, she was a litigation associate at Bowman and Brooke LLP in Austin, Texas. Her experience includes internships and clerkships at the Third Court of Appeals, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, and the Harris County Attorney鈥檚 Office. Cara has presented nationally on legal writing pedagogy. Her article, 鈥淐ontext at the Periphery: The Rise of the Critical-Contextual Legal Education Reform Movement,鈥� was recently published in The Cardozo Law Review of Equal Rights and Social Justice. 聽Cara has diverse experience teaching writing and oral advocacy, including four years coaching The University of Texas Undergraduate Mock Trial team.聽
