Machia grew up on a farm in Liberal, Kansas, and attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City where she played collegiate basketball.ÌýÌý She currently works as a model with the Wilhelmina Denver agency. Ìý

What Inspired you to attend law school?Ìý
MM: I was initially inspired to attend law school because of my interest in advocacy. Through my many experiences as an advocate through collegiate sports, student involvement opportunities, and serving as a foster care advocate I have witnessed first-hand how important advocacy is in the lives of minorities.ÌýÌý
What are your hobbies outside of work and school?Ìý
MM:ÌýOutside of law school I spend my time enjoying the outdoors, trying new foods, and working as a model.ÌýÌý
Why did you choose to attend Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Law?Ìý
MM: I chose Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Law because of the institution's prestigious legal education, the amazing views in Boulder, and the incredible professors, staff members, and legal community I had the privilege of meeting during my visit to Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Law.ÌýÌý
What are you most looking forward to this upcoming academic year?Ìý
MM: I am lookingÌýforwardÌýto making great connections with my peers, expanding my legal knowledge, and attending Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ athletic events.Ìý
