Dean Lolita Buckner Inniss and the University of Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Law School are pleased to announce that Professor has been named the inaugural Associate Dean for Community and Culture at Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Law.Â
The overarching goals of this new position are:
- To bring to bear direct experience and knowledge of law teaching, law school learning, and law practice in designing strategies and leading efforts to foster a community and culture of belonging among students, faculty and staff as Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Law continues to innovate, diversify, and rise together.
- To strategize on, lead, and help coordinate existing and new projects focusing on culture, identity, race, and class among members of the law school community, with a close focus on how law students, law schools, and our entire legal community can participate in and contribute to these projects.Â
With the creation of this role, Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Law joins law schools around the country in establishing a faculty-level position to lead this vitally important work. Welcome and congratulations, Associate Dean Chapin!
