Research
Lacey is interested in multivalent batteries, specifically zinc metal anodes. Currently, she is studying the mechanisms of how different electrolytes affect the reversibility of zinc anodes. Using characterization techniques such as powder XRD, GIWAXS, EDX, and SEM, Lacey studies the parasitic reaction products and zinc morphology to inform optimal electrolyte design for reversible zinc metal batteries.
Education
B.S. in Chemical Engineering, University of Tennessee Knoxville (2020)
Fun Facts
Outside of lab, you can usually find Lacey hanging out with her cat Peep, crocheting, snowboarding, practicing yoga, or listening to R&B.
