Celeste is currently an environmental engineer withÌýÌýin Folsom, California. Her undergraduate research efforts included exploring community resiliency after the 2004 Tsunami in Tamil Nadu, India, knowledge sharing among large engineering firms, and the impact of Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ on water quality. As an undergrad, Celeste was an avid member ofÌý, aiding spring source protection projects. After graduating from Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Boulder, Celeste joinedÌý, a social enterprise in Uganda that manufactures and distributes ceramic water filters, as the Systems and Operations Manager based out of Kampala. She also volunteers forÌý, a sustainable community development NGO in Costa Rica, created by a fellow Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ alum, Tammy Stone. Celeste's research interest includes community resiliency, knowledge-sharing, sustainable development, water quality, and social entrepreneurship. In her free time, she enjoys playing ultimate frisbee, backpacking, climbing, and traveling.
