Chelsea Chandler, ICS and Computer Science Graduate Student, Receives a Graduate Fellowship.

Nelson A. Prager Family and James H. Martin Endowed Graduate Fellowship 2020 is a new award established to recognize a computer science graduate student studying Natural Language Processing. ICS faculty and Computer Science professor Jim Martin states "The Prager family are long-time supporters of the Engineering School. Nelson is an alumni and  well-known Denver cardiologist now in based in Vail. Awhile back he became interested in computer science and medicine and in particular how NLP might be used to leverage electronic records. He actually took my class and the user-centered design course to get a better understanding of the issues. Subsequent to that he funded this endowed award (he put my name on it but the $$ is all coming from him)."

Chelsea is the inaurgural winner of this new Fellowship award.
Congradulations!
