  • Online resources
  • Employee portal live demo, including:聽
    • Reviewing and updating contact information, emergency contacts, alert notifications, and Affirmative Action reporting requirements聽
    • Understand where to go for paychecks, direct聽deposit, benefits enrollment, training
    • Discuss mandatory trainings via SkillSoft (Discrimination and Sexual Misconduct and Information Security Privacy Awareness)
  • Overview of leave benefits, leave tracking, and MyLeave timesheet entry
  • Benefits Orientation information

Who Should Attend & When

Permanent, benefits-eligible new hires聽in departments that have opted into the QuickStart service. It is recommended that new hires attend QuickStart within the first two weeks of their start date. The Supervisor or HRL will determine the best date for the new hire to attend, work with the new hire to set that on their schedule, and share the QuickStart link with the new hire.

How to Attend

QuickStart is held virtually via Zoom. Zoom can be accessed via a computer or by downloading the for your mobile device. For help with Zoom, please visit the Office of Information Technology .
