The Disability Services and ADA Office at Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Boulder have partnered to form the Center for Disability and Access. This newly created center is dedicated to supporting students, faculty, staff and visitors with disabilities, as well as those requiring pregnancy- or religious-related accommodations. By centralizing essential services, the Center for Disability and Access seeks to enhance accessibility, streamline processes and ensure equal opportunities to access programs, courses and activities across campus.

What the Center for Disability and Access will do:

• Centralize accommodations services: Combine accommodation-related functions from Disability Services and the ADA Office into a single cohesive center.
• Collaborate across campus: Partner with departments to ensure accessibility in facilities, courses, programs, events and services.
• Advocate for inclusion: Represent the needs of individuals with disabilities across campus and foster a culture of accessibility and inclusion, where students, faculty and staff feel a sense of mutual respect for each other and where they can collaborate, learn and work together.

Dr. Jess Doty, associate vice chancellor for health and wellness, will oversee the Center for Disability and Access, ensuring its alignment with the university's broader accessibility goals. Meg Murray will continue her role as director of Disability Services, focusing on student accommodations and providing comprehensive support for the campus community. Caitlin O’Donnell will continue her role as director of ADA Compliance, managing workplace and visitor accommodations and ensuring adherence to ADA standards.Ìý

Over the next few months, the center will focus on improving service delivery, identifying efficiencies and enhancing collaboration to better support the needs of the campus community. This ongoing work will help ensure the Center for Disability and Access provides seamless and effective support for all.Ìý
