Graduation Deadlines

June 15, 2023

Graduate students who have not already done so must apply online to graduate through on the 鈥渁pply for graduation鈥 card in order to have the degree awarded in August. This is required even though there is no university-wide ceremony. PhD students must enter their dissertation title as part of the online graduation application; you may update the title through the portal until this date. This title will appear on your transcript after your degree is awarded.

Master's students must submit to the Graduate School a . Applications follow a workflow process and must be approved by the academic department before they are directed to the Graduate School.

Grad+ Endurance Seminar Series 鈥 Get Yourself Together

May 23 through Aug. 1 on Tuesdays (10 weeks total)Zoom

Goals, Growth Strategies and听Reflection: May 23 through June 27 (6 weeks)

If you鈥檙e tired of setting goals and failing to meet them and if you鈥檙e ready to figure out why it鈥檚 so hard for you to of the things you say you want to do, it鈥檚 time to embrace this six-week challenge. Sometimes we need to forget what we think we know about ourselves and start fresh. Join Leslie Blood, director of graduate community and program development, as she shows you how to ask yourself better questions, personalize your approach to growth, and learn the skills you will need to create a more sustainable life both on and off campus. This won鈥檛 be easy, but it will be rewarding.听

Building Strong Foundations with Wellness: July 11 through August 1 (4 weeks)听

Stacy Gerberich, CAPS embedded therapist for the Graduate School, will be taking over the last four weeks of summer seminar to teach intentional wellness practices that will help build a strong foundation so that you can continue to show up, do the work and thrive, even when life throws curveballs. Let鈥檚 address the basics, do the groundwork听and figure out the perfect wellness habits for you to carry into Fall of 2023.

Mindfulness for Graduate Students

June 15, 12鈥1:30 p.m.听CASE, E422

This mindfulness workshop will teach a basic definition of mindfulness and simple skills for practicing daily mindfulness. The first hour of the workshop will focus on basic mindfulness skills听and tools you can use outside of the session. The second half hour will teach extra skills to support those with learning differences by addressing focus and managing tasks.

Lunch will be provided to those that RSVP by June 12.
