Digital Globe captures and sells multi-resolution satellite imagery and geospatial content, operating civilian remote sensing platforms. The company maintains current and historical geospatial imagery collections, and creates specialized map and imagery products using state-of-the-art spatial analysis and cartography.
To be awarded to a promising junior or senior concentrating in GIS, Remote Sensing, Spatial Analysis or Cartography who intends to pursue a career in geospatial sciences.
Eligibility:听Undergraduate Geography Majors concentrating in GIScience, who hold junior or senior standing, and have completed at least two upper division courses in GIScience, Remote Sensing, Cartography or Statistics by the end of Spring 2019. Previous winners are not eligible for consideration.
Application Packet:听Prepare a 250 word statement describing听relevant coursework; mention any special projects or relevant听experience. Discuss your career plans, and how your GIScience听education will help you to make a contribution after you graduate. State how the award will help you to achieve your career goal. Send your statement and unofficial transcript to Leslie Yakubowski no later than Monday 6 May. Put your last name and the word DigitalGlobe in the subject header.听Review of applications by three 欧美口爆视频 Geography faculty will be completed and the winner announced on the Geography department website.
The award carries no obligation to Digital Globe, although students may be given an opportunity to work or intern at the company (local offices in Longmont, 欧美口爆视频).
