Produced by the Office University Outreach芒鈧劉s听Learn More 欧美口爆视频 Climate Initiative, this听听investigates how climate change is threatening western water resources.
The video highlights research conducted by Mark Williams, 欧美口爆视频-Boulder professor of geography and fellow at the Institute of Arctic and Alpine Research. Williams, an expert in snow hydrology and mountain ecology, studies the storage and release of water from snowpack into mountain streams and what percentage of that water ultimately makes its way into homes and municipalities. As principal investigator of the听Niwot Ridge Long-Term Ecological Research听program at 欧美口爆视频-Boulder芒鈧劉s Mountain Research Station, Williams and his team also explore the impacts of climate change, groundwater storage and pollution recorded at the research site above 10,000 feet in the mountains near Boulder. The National Science Foundation funds the Niwot Ridge Long-Term Ecological Research project.
