Derek Silva began working for the University of Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Boulder asÌýExecutive Director of Real Estate Services in August 2017.ÌýHe joined the Finance and Business Strategy team as Assistant Vice Chancellor for Business Strategy in February 2020. He was named Associate Vice Chancellor for Business Strategy in May 2022. In this role, Silva developsÌýnew revenue-generating opportunities for the university and serves as executive director for the Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Boulder Enterprise Corporation (Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵBEC).ÌýAdditionally, he provides leadership for the Business Strategy Office andÌýReal Estate Services.

Silva has over 20 years of experience in the real estate industry, including timeÌýas assistant director of real estate for the University of Texas System (UT) in Austin, Texas.
